TV1 Minicaster Mobile Satellite Dish Pointer

Removed from a KA Sat outside broadcast uplink van, this rare but well-engineered dish pointer system was designed for the Tooway KA-SAT broadband system but can equally be used with other satellite dishes where flexibility of movement is needed - for example a mobile receive/transmit setup or where one receiver needs to access multiple satellites. This could be the perfect accessory for an amateur radio QO100 mobile setup.

All fixings are standard size bolts and nuts so easily adapted for other dishes.

Azimuth and Elevation are controlled using the wired remote control which has variable speed options to dial in the dish pointing accuracy needed for alignment.

Control box runs on 240v AC Mains and steps down to lover voltages as used by the dish pointer motors. This unit is fully waterproof but was kept inside on all the vans the system was installed on.

This auction doesn’t include any of the tooway supplied uplink kit, that will appear as a future auction. Therefore there is no dish or tria (uplink LNB) included in this auction despite being pictured.
